Girls Volleyball Clinic (3rd-5th)
INFORMATION:  The Blue Mountain Recreation Commission will again be sponsoring a Girls Volleyball Clinic for girls in grades 3 through 5 this spring. This program will offer instruction in fundamental volleyball skills and match play.  Practices and game play will be held on Wednesday evenings starting on Wednesday, March 11 and continuing for six (6) weeks. 
     Participants will need shorts, t-shirts, socks, gym shoes and knee pads to participate.  All interested girls should register as soon as possible as the program fills up quickly. All registrations must be returned to the Recreation Office by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9. All registered girls should report to the Middle School Gym at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11. All girls in the program will receive a complimentary t-shirt. The Blue Mountain Recreation Commission will not refund registration fees for Commission activities, except under special circumstances.

This program will offer instruction in competitive volleyball and match play.  Practices and game play will be held on Tuesday evenings starting on Tuesday, March 10 and continuing for six (6) weeks. 
     Participants will need shorts, t-shirts, socks, gym shoes and knee pads to participate.  All interested girls should register as soon as possible as the program fills up quickly. All registration must be returned to the Recreation Office by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9. All registered girls should report to the Middle School Gym at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10. Skill instruction and practice will occur for the first two weeks. Match play will occur for the remaining four weeks. All girls in the program will receive a complimentary t-shirt. The Blue Mountain Recreation Commission will not refund registration fees for Commission activities, except under special circumstances.

Biddy Indoor Soccer​

The Biddy Indoor Soccer program will be offered to Blue Mountain area youth who are 5 through 8 years of age at the start of the program (Feb. 20 and 25). The program will run up to six (6) weeks. Participants should wear shorts, t-shirts and socks. SNEAKERS AND SHIN GUARDS ARE REQUIRED! Soccer shoes with cleats are not allowed. Participants must bring their own Size 3 Soccer Ball to the program. There will be no program held on days when Blue Mountain cancels school or dismisses early due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Depending on registration numbers (or lack thereof), the Blue Mountain Recreation Commission reserves the right to combine each age-appropriate session into one joint session that includes 5-8 years olds.
Parents are advised that although soccer is a relatively safe sport, it does involve extensive running and physical exertion. Please make sure your child is capable of the physical demands before registering.

Baseball Pitching and Catching Clinic

INSTRUCTOR: Coach Bill Dobrolsky and Assistant Coaches
The Blue Mt. Recreation Commission will sponsor a Baseball Pitching and Catching Clinic this winter. This program is open to all boys in grades 10 through 12 who attend Blue Mt. High School (and are not involved in a winter sport). The program will take place at the Orwigsburg Memorial on Mondays & Thursdays from 3:15 - 5:00 p.m. according to the schedule which will be announced by the coaches. All participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the program. The program will continue through February 27, 2020. There will be no program held on days when Blue Mt. cancels school or dismisses early due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.  If Blue Mountain schools are canceled or are dismissed early due to weather, all Recreation programs scheduled that day are automatically canceled. We will attempt to list cancellations on our website (www.bluemountainrec.com) and also send out an “E-News” (Sign-up at the left side of our home page) and Facebook post.
