The Blue Mountain Recreation Commission is sponsoring an outdoor kickboxing class on Thursday, July 30 at 6:30 p.m. on the soccer field behind the Recreation Office. As the sun begins to set, Amanda Hascin and Jon Bonner (USA-MA Certified Kickboxing Instructors from USA Martial Arts and Fitness) will lead the group in an outdoor high-energy total body workout, all done to very motivating music. This is a power-punching, sweat-pouring, calorie-burning fitness workout. This fun program is for men, women and children of all ages and ability levels and will allow for "social distancing" during the activity. Should it rain on July 30, the class will be rescheduled to the following week (Thursday, August 6). The cost to register for this program is $10. The last day to register is Wednesday, July 29. We would need at least 15 participants to run the class. If we get a good turnout, there is a possibility of adding additional classes in August. You can only register online for this course at www.bluemountainrec.com. If you have any questions, or for additional information, please contact the Recreation Commission office at 570-366-1190.
